The Desert Bred Exhibition is an opportunity to see the country of origin (COO) import Salukis and their descendants that may one day enter the AKC studbook. These Salukis represent the original Middle East hunter in all his beauty, the Saluki described in our Standard, and our imports are still bred in their homelands as they have been for thousands of years.

The Exhibition features COO imports as well as their generation 1 through generation 4 progeny. Generation 3 and generation 4 Salukis have transitioned into the AKC Studbook either from the Society for the Perpetuation of Desert Bred Salukis (SPDBS) domestic import studbook, or through foreign FCI registration. Also welcome are rescue imports with AKC PAL numbers.
