Grooming Space

ALL MAIN SPACES ARE RESERVED. WE ARE NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR OVERFLOW SPACE

Grooming/Crating Space Reservations will be accepted until MAY 17, 2025, or until all paid spaces are reserved.

AGREEMENT/RULES:

  • Grooming/Crating spaces will be allowed in designated areas only, due to the use of special flooring in the Great Hall.
  • Reservations are for all days of the National and no partial reservations will be considered. No refund requests will be considered.
    • Grooming/Crating space reservation fee in the main area is $35.00 per reserved grooming space.
  • Additional Grooming Wednesday to Saturday.
    • IF and only if the main grooming area is at capacity, we will offer grooming/crating space on the “agility” side of the building, available beginning Wednesday, June 4, 2025 for a reduced fee of $25.00 per space. We cannot guarantee electricity.
    • There will be no movement into grooming spaces on the agility side of the building during the obedience and rally trials. Plan accordingly.
  • Because of limited space, please reserve only the number of spaces that you need.
    • No more than two spaces per exhibitor will be allowed.
    • Requests for adjacent spaces can be made but are not guaranteed.
    • Each space is 5’ x 10’
    • Please consider stacking crates to save space or sharing one if you do not need a whole one.
  • Regular building hours are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or 30 min after completion of judging unless otherwise advised by the show committee.
    • AFTER HOURS (OVERNIGHT) USE OF GROOMING/CRATING SPACES BY INDIVIDUALS OR DOGS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
    • Violation of this rule will be met with a Purina security response and possibly a bench hearing.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Failure to keep a grooming/ crating space neat and in order could result in forfeiture of the grooming/ crating space without refund or the refusal of reservations in the future!  The Show Committee will monitor grooming/crating space order and cleanliness.
  • 10 – 20 amps of electrical service will be available to each grooming/crating space.
  • Equipment must not be capable of damaging the flooring material in the Great Hall. Thick plastic will be in place in the crating/grooming area, to help protect the floor. All equipment must be on plastic.
  • The club/show committee reserves the right to limit and/or rearrange grooming/crating spaces if crowded conditions become a problem.
  • The show committee reserves the right to remove equipment or crates left in undesignated areas.
  • Your reserved grooming/crating space will be determined by the Show Committee. The space will be clearly marked with your name and the space location will be posted at the entrances to the Event Center.
  • A very limited number of free spaces will be available beginning Wednesday, June 4th. Only one free space per exhibitor will be allowed and you may NOT save a free space for anyone else.  Free spaces will be assigned only by a show committee member.
  • Access to paid/reserved grooming/crating spaces will be after 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 3rd.
  • Once a space has been assigned, you may keep it until the end of the show or until you no longer need the space. You can leave your crates, chairs or other belongings in the grooming/crating area until the show is complete.
  • It is your responsibility to leave your space clear of debris!

By submitting the request for space, I understand that this reservation will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis and that I will accept the space that I am assigned.  I further understand that the reserved grooming/crating space is a privilege that can be withdrawn by the SCOA Show Committee if it deems a violation has occurred.
